It's been that long since I posted anything? WOW!!!
Since my last entry dated back in June. . so much has happened.
Got fired from the RV campsite at the end of September for an "unjustified" reason. Did the unemployment thing (which of course the RV campsite lost). Also the manager who hired me. . . I got fired. She has gone from being manager to now taking reservations. So don't ever mess with Jayne.
After I got fired. . I was back on the pavement looking for work. It only took me 4 weeks to land another job. I am a cashier at Walgreens. Its ok. Just like the RV campsite. . I only work 2 nights a week. The rest of the time I get to spend at home straightening up the house, clean fish tanks, and esp be home with my 2 dogs.
Both my dogs are doing ok. The older one (13 yrs) is still doing ok. She does her days of not feeling well - that is why I am at home. . .
the other dog now has leg problems - medicine can help.

Halloween was last night and I dressed up as a Princess. Looked real good.

The last time I wrote was on Mother's Day.

Some stuff has happened since then. I am still at the RV campsite working. I was hired to only work 2 days a week. Well. . I have been working more than that. I will be glad when I do start working 2 days a week.

We went up to the Baltimore, Maryland area last weekend. We went to my step- daughters rehearsal and wedding. We didn't stay at the assigned hotels in downtown Baltimore, due to the fact that it was pretty expensive ($200 a night). So we stayed with my son, who lives up in York, PA (an hour away).

Rehearsal and rehearsal dinner went well. After the rehearsal dinner, we drove back to York, PA., Arnie stayed at Tony's while Tony and I went out and partied for a few hours.

Saturday was the wedding. Arnie's daughter looked so pretty. I do have some rehearsal pictures on myspace.com. Still have some wedding pictures in my camera. Once I take the few extra pictures that are left, then I will have those pictures developed and post them on myspace.com as well.

Now we are back in Florida. I am still working. Lucky I have today off. . . but have to work tomorrow.

Now I have caught you up on the latest. Hope to talk to you soon.

Today is Mother's Day and I get to be lazy. I am not going to clean house or do laundry. My son has already called me. Between my son and my husband they bought me a dozen of red and yellow roses. Very pretty.

Since the last entry (April), I have started another job. I work at a RV campsite just off of I-95 going towards Daytona. It's just like making reservations at a hotel, but instead people make reservations for either a cabin or a place to park their RVs. The RV campsite is only 10 minutes away from the beach. Kewl!

My son is doing good. He is still at 84 Lumber up in PA. He got promoted to being a warehouse supervisor. He is making alittle bit more money.

My oldest dog of 13 years, now has arthritis in both her back legs/hips. For right now she is doing ok.

In 3 weeks we are doing a road- trip up to the Baltimore, Maryland/ York, PA area. My step-daughter is getting married.

I am also now Class Committee Member Chairman for my Class. In other words, I take care of finding all classmates who I graduated with; I take care of all advertising that has anything to do with my classmates; I also have started up our very own Class Newsletter that gets published bi- annually with updates, events, and other things that has to do with the classmates of 71st High, 1975.

And to top this off, I now have a myspace. You can view it at myspace.com/jaymelynn20. Hope to see you there.

It's been quite awhile (but not 4 months) since I posted anything. The last post was letting you know that Arnie got promoted. Talked about my son and my dogs.

Well. . . here I am down in "sunny" Florida- lol! It's not always sunny. This weekend the weather is actually like up north, in the 60s. WOW!! So much for the sunny weather. Anyho. . . down in Florida. Been looking for work. Put in just a few applications, had only 3 interviews. Got hired at one place, but it's full time and I want part time. I also broke down, and got desperate and got hired and started working for a place that is like the UPS store. Pack boxes and sent them out to either Fedex or UPS; make copies of anything; fax things; or just mail mail. Pretty simple. Only problem to this job is that their training skills is that you stand behind someone and watch. They don't teach you, you have to pick it up in just 1 week. Too much to remember the 1st week. So I quit. I am hoping to find something soon. Tired of being at home.

My son is doing ok. Mom isn't supporting him, so he has to work 2 jobs. 84 Lumber is his main job and being a bouncer at a club is his 2nd job. He just got a raise though with 84 Lumber.

Well. . . this is short. Guess there wasn't much to say.

Whoooooo . . . . the last time I wrote in my journal was back in September of '06. Almost 4 months ago. Guess alot can happen within that time. Which of course it did.

Tony (my son) and the girl Amanda broke up. I have no clue why. None of my business. Just wish he would find the right girl and just settle down with first before talk of marriage. Or could it be just he is just like his mother, and believes in "love at first sight."

Tony is no longer manager at the Blimpie's inside the Hess's gas station in Lancaster, PA. He is now a manager for 84 Lumber in Beltsville, Maryland. Tony is now living in his very own apartment. It's a 1 bedroom/ 1 bathroom apartment. Real nice. Perfect just for him. The apartment is located in York, PA. So he commutes from York, PA to Beltsville, Maryland to go to work. The drive doesn't seem to be that long. For I went to visit him the 1st day of the new year 2007.

Back in September I moved from a 2 bedroom/ 2 full bathroom apartment to a 3 bedroom/ 1 bathroom apartment duplex. The rent is cheaper. My best girlfriend of 17 years lives right next door. But I hardly see her, due to the fact that I work 7 days a week. I have 2 jobs.

My older dog, Minnie, seems to be doing alittle better. She has her days. Minnie is now 13 years old.

Now that I am updating my journal. . . I will let you know that Arnie got to promoted from Assist Manager of Wal~Mart to Co- Manager. But we have to move to St Augustine, Florida. Arnie has been with Wal~Mart now going on 5 years. He well deserves this promotion. So that meant that I had to quit both my jobs. One and my main job was working for Lillian Vernon/ Time Life Music that comes on television. And my weekend job was working at a pet store. I enjoyed working at both places so it was hard for me to quit. Maybe when we get to Florida I can find a job part time working with animals. Who knows. Just have to wait til I get down there and find out.

Now that I have talked your ears off. Enjoy the superbowl today

Since the last entry back in July, I would say alot has been happening. My oldest son, Tony, came down for a weeks vacation at the end of July. While I was working, he was doing his thing. Then he went back up to Hershey, PA.

Then the last weekend in August, my oldest son, Tony came down for just the weekend. He brought down a new girlfriend named Amanda. She is very pretty. And is the same age as Tony. She is a manager of a landscaping company up in Hershey, PA. My son is the manager of the Blimpie's sub inside the Hess's gas station in Lancaster, PA. Both him and Amanda were talking about moving down here. But nothing has come out of it.

I am in the process of moving. All this week, I have moved the small stuff. A U-haul truck will have to take the rest of the big stuff. Don't have to move out of this apartment complex until the end of September. The reason for the move. Our rent has gone from $999 to now $1040. We are moving into a 3 bedroom duplex next to my best friend of almost 20 years. The rent there is $800. A huge drop. Also while moving this week - I am on a weeks vacation. So what a way to spend a vacation.

I also had to take my oldest dog to the ER Labor Day (September the 04th). She was having problems walking again. The doctor did give her some back pain medicine. She is starting to get better again.

Right now this is all the up- dated news that I have. I will write again after the move.

My team doesn't know what is going to happen to the project. . rather we keep the project or not. Back about a month ago our company has done a hands changing CEOs. Our company was known as Direct Holding/Time Life Music/ Lillian Vernon. Because the company was losing money . . . the company sold Direct Holding to a company called CitiGroup (partership with Miles Kimbell). There were alot of people who got fired. The corp office has closed their doors in New York and is now in our building here in Virginia.

The completation of my school class newsletter has been finished and many have been mailed out. Still got to make more copies and mail out the rest. There are 500 classmates that I have to mail out newsletters. So far none of my classmates have either emailed/ phoned/ or written me. But I will continue on and then come up with an up- dated newsletter.

I have gone back to myself of going out to the clubs and dancing. On Tuesdays- I go to the country club and learn new line- dancing. Then on Fridays . . . I go to a club that plays the 70's and 80's disco music with a few girls from work. Then on Saturdays. . . . I go to the country club and dance.

I will try to be better at writting in my LJ.

Thanks to Mike.

I haven't realized that I haven't been in my LJ for 6 months (Oh. my word)! So much to write about.

Okay where I left off was Arnie's daughter graduating from college. His daughter is now working at the John Hopkins Hospital there is Maryland.

Then in September of 2005, I sent Arnie back up to Boston, MA to watch and be with his son while he got married. Again I didn't go due to his kids telling me that I am not allowed to attend "family functions." I am not family. So I stayed here and worked.

So while he was gone, I worked on my high school class reunion stuff. In October, we had our 30th Class reunion down in Fayetteville, NC. I only had 3 months to plan this reunion. Got everything set up from the Banquet room at the Hotel all the way down to the DJ. For such a short planned reunion, it still turned out real good. We had a class meeting and voted for a Class reunion Committee. The class has made me the Head Class Reunion Committee but now I have 3 other classmates who are going to help.

Once we got back from the reunion. The holidays have come and gone. And now I am working on a Class Newsletter/ Class Directory/ and plans for the next Class reunion that will take place in the year of 2010.

Then we had the Holiday come upon us. Due to the fact that we had to work the day before the holidays and the day after, Arnie and I decided to just stay home.

And now everything is back to normal. I am still working on my Class Reunion project. It will take about 2/3 years to get all this put together.

I just looked at the last time that I have written in this and that was back in April (3 months ago). Nothing much or new has been happening since then.
Actually, Arnie went back up towards the Boston, MA area back in May to watch his daughter graduate from Amhurst College. She now has her degree in Psychology. You don't ever want to be around his daughter, she will anaylise you. Of course, I didn't go cause I had to work.

Then the beginning of June, the place where I work claim that order calls aren't coming in like they did last year, so either we took vacation time/ short term unemployment/ or work less hours (19 hours a week). This is to last until the end of July. I took the less hours. And with all this extra time on my hand, I have been planning my classreunion of 30 years.
This is an up - date from my last entry.

There was suppose to have been a wedding the 1st weekend of April. But because the wedding was post - pone until September, we still made the trip up to the Boston area, and spent the weekend with my cousin, who I hadn't seen in 12 years. It was a very good visit. My cousin met Arnie. She had never met any of the other exs. Arnie was the 1st she met.

And then on the way back down to Virginia, we stopped in Hershey, PA to visit with my son, and meet his new girlfriend. It was only an hour, (lunch) visit. His girlfriend's name is Joey. She is not fat, but alittle on the chucky side, and she is very attractive. I like her.

This was the good part of my little trip. Now for the downside of my trip.

The brother- in- law who was staying with me for awhile, (my sister's husband), came back up to take care of my dogs. My sister was suppose to have joined her husband at my house the night that Arnie and I left for our trip. . . . but that didn't happen. My brother- in- law brought everyone up when he came up on Monday. And as soon as they came into my house, they "took" over my house, everything. And then when they went anywhere, I would ask where they were going and how long they were gone for, they told me it wasn't my business. So the last day that they were to spend at my house, I asked my best girlfriend of 20 years to go get the house key that he had.

The morale of that story is that I never want them ever back at my house. They is why I really dislike them so much.

I see that the last time that I wrote into my LJ was back in Jan., which was alittle over 2 1/2 months ago. Guess I have been busy working. But let's see if I can update from that last time period.
I was still working for the company of Lillian Vernon up until February the 16th, when they told me to go ahead and process out. The job was only seasonal. But after Christmas I had put in for both full and part time permanet. So in the meantime, on February 16th, HR came up to me and told me to go ahead and out process. I didn't wait for them to call me, the following day, (Feb 17), I had went to the Virginia Employment Office to collect unemployment. They told me I had to re- open my case in NC. So I did that as well. Also Feb 17th, I was out looking for work.

A week later, Lillian Vernon HR contacted me and congraduated me, for I made had made the part time permanent position. So now I am back to work. I am also bowling on the Lillian Vernon bowling leaque. I have also signed up for the Lillian Vernon softball team.

So I guess that I am just keeping busy. I go play BINGO every Tuesday night with a girl that I have been friends with since 1990. Tonight we are going roller skating 1st; and then BINGO.

Other than all of the above, things are going good, except for the weather. Cold- cold- cold. When will it ever get warm again? I am so tired of cold weather. Guess you just have to be patient.

It's only almost 3 wks since I have written in my LJ. Christmas has come and gone. We didn't have time to buy each other gifts this year. Arnie has really been busy with work, along with me. So I will start early this yr. Arnie had to work from 6 in the morning until 12 noon, Christmas day at walmart. He had to change out the security tapes, and do payroll. So while he was in the back doing his thing, of course I got bored and took a bike that was out in the front, and started riding it around the store. And then Arnie took a break, and he joined me. Then he was playing "hide and seek" with me while riding on the bikes. And then when he went back to the back, I saw how messy the store was, and then I started picking up, straightening up, and put things away.
And then things went back to normal for just a wk - back to work, with the reg hrs. And then I got New Years Eve and Day off. Took down all my Christmas stuff, cleaned the whole house, and did some laundry.

We went out and bought some drinks, and then out to dinner, and then back home. I, on the other hand, went out with my best friend, and her family to go see the Holiday Lights on the beach. Came back home, watch the news and the Dick Clark's Rock and Eve.
Guess, B/C I haven't been on here lately, I have my sister's husband living with me. Of course he doesn't help out with nothing/ doesn't pay any rent or whatever electricty he uses/ he eats up our food, and doesn't offer to help with the expenses of the groceries. I really don't want to say anything, only B/C I want my sister to feel like sht. For the way she treated me almost 5 yrs ago, when she threw me out in the street.

Well, I guess I will end this, so I can go eat my dinner. HAPPY NEW YEAR.

My goodness, it has been over a month since I have even thought about coming into my LJ and putting an entry. I guess it's B/C I have been working 6 days a week, 8 hours a day.

In my last entry I was telling you on my job searches. The 1st one was International Marketing - I decided not to take that job/ the 2nd one, Lillian Vernon - I did take. Hallmark was a laugh. The department store ROSES - wanted to start me out @ $5 an hour, don't think so.

I have been working at the company Lillian Vernon since the 1st of November. I have started out taking catalog orders over the phone, and then I decided to go ahead into Customer Service to where I can actually help customers if I can help them.

The co workers/ friends who I worked with at the shoe company in Greensboro, keep writing and telling me on how much they wish I was back working with them. It makes me cry. But there is a reason why we moved here to Chesapeake, Virginia. If it wasnt for Arnie's mom, I would say screw it and come back to Greensboro.

Starting the beginning of last week, my phone has been ringing with recorded messages asking me to call places back for interviews. The 1st place is a company called International Marketing. The position was Phone Order Clerks. Making $7 an hour/ 5 days a week. Don't think so.

And then another company named Lillian Vernon called back. I would be working in the call center taking catalog orders. Working 6 days a week @ $6.40 an hour during training. After training, then it would be $7.65 an hour. But this is only seasonal! I went ahead and took it until I can find something with more pay and not seasonal.

Hallmark and I have been doing the "phone-tag" thing. The manager wants to hire, or more less interview me for a full (40) time position with the pay of $8.50 an hour. I would be handling the shipping and recieving department. Now I want this job. I am suppose to met with the manager tomorrow @2PM.

And then tonight, the department store ROSES called. I haven't called them back yet.

So from the day I got released from Quality Inn Pavilion, I have gone to 16 different places and filled out applications with only 3 calling back to do interviews.

So that is how my 2 weeks have been going. In the meantime of all this, I did file for unemployment, but with the state of NC, since I didn't qualify for VA. The time period for unemployment is from June of 2003 to July of 2004.

The main job that I wanted was the Comfort Inn here close to the house. I did my 2nd interview this morning and took some kind of personality test. The girl that had did the 2nd interview had 2 more people to interview today. Guess I will know something tomorrow.

GOD how I hate not working.
Only a few things that have happened since I wrote in my LJ last, (10/05).

First, after I got home from work on Sunday, October the 10, (about 1:30AM), I gave both my dogs a bath; and then I hit my toe on the corner of a trunk, and broke the toe beside my baby-toe. And then about 4, that same morning, I heard someone trying to come in my front door. I did call the police. They came out and did a circle around the complex. While they were doing this, the dispatcher stayed on the phone with me. I was scared. Then she proceeded to tell me that the police were at the front door. After we had to do our thing, the police was going to give the complex another ride around.

Then on that following Monday morning, which was my day off, the owner of the hotel I was working at called me and was proceeding to tell me how unhappy one of the co workers there was. This co worker had made up stories to tell the owner that I didn't like the hours I was getting. And how I was "supposely" be the manager. I tried to explain that I didn't do any of that, he then told me that he would think about it and call me back. Which he did in about a 20 minute period. He called me back and said that Donna had been with him for 3 years, and he didn't want any trouble out of me, so he let me go.

My fish tank is now completed with 4 fish.

Now I am going to go for now.

Nothing has been happening since I last recorded in my journal,(09/16th).

As long as I work until midnight, I ride my bike down to the beach for a few blocks. The second time that I rode down to the beach, I started out at 20th St., and went down as far as 40th St. The only thing that was sore when I got back to work, was my behind. I still ride my bike down to the beach, but only when I have to work until midnight. Otherwise, I exercise at home.

I haven't heard from my son since the 16th of September, hope he is doing good. I sure do miss him. Wish he would come back down to live, but that is only my wish, not his.

I now have a fish tank. When I get paid again, I will then go get the gravel and decorations, so that I can wash them off, and put water in the tank, to let the water settled for the 24 hour period, and then I get to go get some fish. I don't know what kind to get, only because I have never had a fish tank before, but have always wanted a fish tank. Now the next thing to get is a teleacope.

Well, for right now, this has been the latest update. Until next time, be good.

And Arnie is also better as well.

Also I have been riding my bike down to the beach after work. The 1st day that I started riding, (Tuesday/ 09/13), I rode from 21st St down to 17th St. And last night, I rode from 21st St. down to 7th St. Of course my tail is sore from riding so long. But that is ok. Today I get off from work at midnight, and again I will ride. I will come home and tell you how far I rode.

I have also heard from my son the other day. His dad and step mom are making him get a job right now. And he is being monitored on his phone calls. That is what he gets. He knows living with me, he does have it alittle easier.
Well, we have finally made the move. We have gone from staying with the girl that I have been friends with for the last 15 years, into our new apartment. Which of course is ok. The staff and maintance has really pissed me off. So don't except me to stay here after our lease is up.

It took me 3 days to get a key to the mailbox. I had to go from the office to the post office/ back to the post office, and finally back to the complex office. Now I am having trouble with them taking out their washer and dryer so I can put my washer and dryer in. Once they take their washer and dryer out, then I can finish putting the apartment together.

And work . . . I have been working since the day I actually moved here. This is my 1st day off since the 31st. I work at the Quality Inn Pavilion 5 blocks from the beach itself. It only takes 5 mintues to walk to the beach. I know, cause I walk it when I get off from work.

Now I am going to go some more work and then relax to watch tv.

Since the last entry. I worked at SRI in Greensboro, NC on August the 30th, (which was a Monday). My boss and most of the people who worked with me that day, took me out for my farewell lunch. We went to the NASCAR cafe at the 4 Seasons Mall. Thanks guys!

After lunch, we all came back and went back to work. I kinda worked the rest of the day. At 5:00pm when it was time for me to leave, my boss handed me a pair of tennis shoes that I had on hold for a month, and said that these shoes were a gift and that they were paid for. And then Arnie and my son drove up with the U Haul truck. It was time for me to leave to come up here to Virginia.

Monday night, since our apartment was not ready, we are staying with a girl that I have been friends with since the year of 1990. We will be staying with her until our apartment is ready, which should be sometime today.

Also since I have been here, I started my new job on Tuesday. I am working at the Quality Inn (5 blocks) from the beach. I am running the front desk. So for this week, my work schedule has been the 4 to 10pm shift. I don't mind. Last night after work, I went ahead and walked from the hotel to Pacific Ave. Tonight I will do the same thing.

After we move into our new place today, I will then load my bike in the back of my car, and start using my bike after work. I will be riding my bike from the hotel to the beach itself.

I don't know if I will be able to write any more up dates for today.
Since my last up - date. . . . Arnie and my son went back to Virginia for only a few days during the week was to find a place to live. They went to alot of places and finally found an apartment. Now, I didn't go with them, because I had to work. Being alone for the 1st time in years was strange. It was alittle scary, but quiet.

The apartment that they found is located behind the Greenbriar Mall in Chesapeake, Virginia. It is smaller than what we are living in now, and cost alot more than what we are paying. But we are only going to be there for a year, and in that year's time, hopefully we can find something bigger for alittle less.

Arnie and my son have started packing the U - haul truck. The living room is empty. The dining room is empty. My son's room is empty. All we have now is our room. And then the clean up. While I am at work tomorrow, (which of course is my last day), Arnie and my son will finish up.

After I get off from work tomorrow, (5pm), then we will be on our way to Virginia. Our apartment will not be ready to be moved in until the 3rd. So we will be staying with a friend of mine, (who I have been friends with since 1989).

Our computer will be off starting tomorrow, and will not be up and running until the weekend.
